Breathe life back into your Facebook page with these top tips
Facebook is still one of the most effective social media channels in terms of reach, engagement and conversions, however, it’s notoriously difficult to drive results when all you’re doing on there is simply sharing organic posts.
If you’re not seeing significant results, try these five tactics to revive your Facebook page and boost your brand’s awareness, community and sales.
Have a Budget for Advertising
Whether your goal is to generate new followers, gain more website traffic or make more sales, Facebook advertising has a campaign objective that will work with you to achieve your goal.
My top tips for making your ad as cost-effective as possible are:
Only run your ads when you know your audience is awake and scrolling
Start with a daily budget (minimum £2) at the lower end of your budget, monitor its performance and then you can increase it later
Add four titles and four descriptions so that Facebook can promote a combination of your ad, making your audience less likely to become bored of it
Share a Range of Formats
If you’ve only been sharing static posts, it’s time to switch things up. With so much competition on the Facebook newsfeed, you have to make sure that your content is interesting enough to stop people from scrolling to pay attention.
Try sharing GIFs, image collections, carousels, reels and long-form video content to see which format generates the most interest from your followers.
Create a Group
Social media is all about connecting with your audience to build authentic relationships by creating a feeling a community among your followers. One way to do this is by inviting them to be part of a Facebook group.
Not only does this feel exclusive and exciting, but it also provides your audience with a dedicated space to connect with likeminded people to make the most of your business. For example, if you’re a clothing retail, give sneak previews to your new collection, offer outfit inspiration, create polls for your AW24 stock and host invite-only events.
Host a Competition
To organically reach a new audience of potential customers, host a competition that features a desirable yet relevant prize. By offering participants a prize that is closely associated with your business, you can ensure that entrants are individuals most likely to be interested in purchasing from you again in the future.
Another tip is to make the competition easy to enter. For example, a “like and share” entry requirement is going to receive more interest than one that asks people to go to another website and fill out a questionnaire.
Invite Friends and Family
Boost your Facebook following by inviting your friends and family to like your page. To avoid having to do this manually, download an extension that allows you to invite your entire friend list with just one click.
Then you can ask them to share your posts to their own newsfeed, or even invite their friends to like your page too.
